Florida Supreme Court to hear arguments on medical marijuana today

The Florida Supreme Court will hear arguments about the wording of the proposed amendment to allow medical marijuana in the state today.

The proposal is intended to allow people with serious medical conditions to buy and use marijuana.

Attorney General Pam Bondi and several state lawmakers want the language changed on the proposal.
They say its wording would deceive voters and would ultimately allow more widespread access to marijuana.
A Quinnipiac University poll last month showed 82 percent of voters support medical marijuana.
