New Jersey Mall carjacking and murder

NEW JERSEY  --  Now to the manhunt for the carjackers who shot and killed a man in the parking garage of a New Jersey mall last night.
   
Police say the victim and his wife had just finished holiday shopping, when they were caught off-guard by the gunmen.

A night of holiday shopping for a New Jersey couple- ending with deadly gunfire.
A 30-year-old man, about to get into his Range Rover  in the parking garage of an upscale mall in suburban New Jersey around 8:30 last night.. shot in the head.

"The husband, the victim, opened the door for his wife.  He started to get in the vehicle, as he got to the drivers side, and started to get ready to enter/approach the vehicle, he was approached by two males and was shot before he entered his vehicle."

The man- whose name has not yet been released - was killed,
His wife - was reportedly not hurt.
And as police began their intense search for the gunman and his accomplice who took off in the couple's silver SUV...

The Short Hills Mall, about 30 miles outside of New York City, was put on lockdown
"Someone with a gun you know you'll be on edge. I thought they made a good decision the way they handled it in the store."

It was only one month ago - that shoppers had to take cover at another mall in nearby Paramus, New Jersey - when a man began firing a rifle at random...

He, eventually, turned the gun on himself, but no one *else was hurt.
And now - a second chilling case of mall violence this season ... putting shoppers on edge...as police continue their manhunt. "police have not released a description of the gunmen...
