Real Estate scam via the Internet

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office wants you to be on the look out for a Real Estate scam on the Internet.

Eric Gleaton Realty in Pensacola says some of their listings are being re-posted on Craigslist, Zillow, and Trulia.
The postings claim the owner is trying to sell property fast and will only respond to e-mail and texts.
The potential tenants are told to wire them money and the keys will be shipped to them.
Of course, the keys never arrive.

Bobby King said, "It's frustrating. You work hard to make an honest living and someone takes advantage of that. And takes advantage of people in the community."

The Sheriff's Office is not working these cases because the person responsible most likely doesn't live in the area.
But they're asking people to be cautious and not to wire money to anyone they don't know.
