Christmas homecoming

There was a happy holiday reunion today at Northwest Florida Regional Airport.
A father of six returned early from his overseas deployment.

Major Joel Anderson was scheduled to come home in January.
Thanks to a slight schedule change, he was able to step off the plane on Christmas Eve.
After six months of separation, the kids hurried in for their hugs.
A crowd of family and friends broke out in applause.

Major Joel Anderson "It is great. It was an extra surprise for all of us to get to come home a couple of weeks early and be able to spend Christmas with family."

Major Anderson is a member of the 413th Flight Test Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base.
