Shaggy's Pensacola Beach hosts fundraiser for Philippines

PENSACOLA BEACH  --  Although we got through another hurricane season without a big storm the Philippine Islands will be recovering from Typhoon Haiyan for years to come.

Nearly 5600 people were killed after the typhoon hit in early November.
More than 1700 are still missing and over 38 million people are displaced.

To help raise money for those survivors, "Shaggy's" restaurant is hosting an "All's Clear" party at its three locations.

They have shirts they're selling and all the proceeds go to disaster relief in the Philippines.

"We have what we call a hurricane fund set aside to help us get threw if we have a hurricane that causes some damage to our property. Since we didn't need that this year we decided to take those funs and have a little party and try to help others that are much less fortunate, such as the Philippines."

The party at the Pensacola Beach Shaggy's is this Thursday at five-o'clock.
You can enjoy live music, free hurricane drinks and one-dollar draft beer.
