USO collection donations for military
The USO's at the Pensacola International Airport and Northwest Florida Regional Airport will be open for the thousands of military personnel heading home for the holidays.
The USO here at the Pensacola International Airport will be open extended hours during the peak travel times to provide love and care to our military. You can help make those men and women feel extra special by dropping off snacks like these now until the 21st.
The USO is looking for donations from the community for the men and women who will be stopping the center on their way home for the holidays. Because of health regulations home-baked goodies can't be accepted but salty snacks, ramen noodles, pre-packaged cookies, and doughnuts are popular favorites. The USO is also looking for bottled water, canned soda, paper plates, napkins and plastic silverware.
"For our troops that are traveling they finally get to go home after being away usually for the first time after Thanksgiving. To know that the community cares enough to bring them snacks and goodies is amazing. They are always grateful" says Heidi Blair the director of USO Northwest Florida.
