UPDATE: Okaloosa County shooting

OKALOOSA COUNTY   --  A man is dead and two officers are wounded after a shooting in Okaloosa County over night.

It happened at a house on the corner of Savage Street and Beech Avenue in Crestview around 11 o'clock.

The Crestview Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics Team attempted to serve a search warrant to someone at the home on Savage Street.
The search warrant was the result of a nearly three week long investigation by the Crestview Police Department into several incidents of a violent nature.
When the officers tried to go in the home someone began shooting.
The officers returned fire.

One suspect was killed during the exchange.   
His identity has not yet been released.

Two officers, Beau Baier and Shane Kriser were shot in the legs.
Both officers were taken to North Okaloosa Medical Center for treatment.
They are expected to be okay.
The shooting is under investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
