Teen Challenge of Florida in Pensacola facing thousands in health & safety fines

PENSACOLA  --  Teen Challenge of Florida in Pensacola is facing over two-hundred thousand dollars in fines for health and safety violations.

The US Labor Department's Occupational Safety & Health Administration found 25 violations following an inspection of the company's facilities in Pensacola last summer.
   
OSHA opened an investigation after receiving a complaint alleging safety and health hazards.
The violations include exposing workers to amputation hazards, failing to provide first aid training and electrical deficiencies.
   
Proposed penalties total 228,000 dollars.
Teen Challenge offers assistance to adults ages 18 and older who are struggling with drug addiction, alcoholism and other life-controlling issues.
