Governor Scott voices his stance on medical marijuana

Florida Governor Rick Scott says he opposes the use of medical marijuana.

Scott says he will vote against a proposed constitutional amendment to legalize the drug if the issue makes it to the ballot this year.

Scott says he's seen the effects of drug abuse first-hand, and does not want the state to go down that path.

But he says he will respect the wishes of voters should the amendment pass.

State Attorney General, Pam Bondi, is now challenging the wording of the ballot language in court.

The group sponsoring the ballot push says it has already collected the necessary petition signatures.
