Aydelott funeral

The Holley-Navarre Middle School teacher murdered on Christmas Eve, was laid to rest Friday.

Sharon Aydelott was stabbed with a knife and beaten with a baseball bat in her Gulf Breeze home.

Deputies say her son, 17-year-old William Brandon Aydelott, confessed to the murder.

The funeral service was held at Olive Baptist Church.
Hundreds gathered there to pay their respects.

Friends say she loved her children, including the ones she taught at Holley-Navarre Middle School.

And those who spoke during the service say they'll remember Sharon doing what she loved, like laughing, dancing, and playing sports.

Kathy Clark said, "The world is going to be a little darker without Sharon.... let's remember to be free with our smiles."

The service ended with Aydelott's daughter singing.
She dedicated the song to her mother.

William Brandon Aydelott was a student and baseball player at Gulf Breeze High School.
He will be tried as an adult for second degree murder.

Grief counselors will be available at Holley-Navarre Middle and Gulf Breeze High on Monday.
