House passes spending bill aimed at ending sequestration effects

WASHINGTON   --  The U.S. House has passed a one-trillion dollar spending bill that aims to end *some of the effects of sequestration.

It would restore cuts to the Head Start program and give all federal workers a 1 % raise.
Add twenty billion dollars to the Pentagon budget and fully fund all major weapons system requests, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
And it would delay Federal Flood Insurance premium increases based on faulty flood maps.
The senate is expected to pass the bill later this week.
