Drop off Christmas trees at several recycling centeres

Now that Christmas is over many people will be taking down the decorations and getting rid of thier trees.

Channel 3's Kalie Desimone joins us live this morning with more on where you can take your tree to get rid of it.

Live christmas trees can be dropped off until Thursday, jan. 31 at five Santa Rosa County recycling areas. The trees will be chipped and offered as free mulch at clean community system in milton. The start of that program will be announced at a later date. But when dropping off trees, it is asked that people leave the trees in the designated area identified by signs. You should not place trees in front of the recycling containers.

The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) will pick up Christmas trees from customers for free with the regular collection of yard waste.
