Stockpiling light bulbs

Some people who like their traditional light bulbs have been stocking up.

As of yesterday federal law bans most incandescent bulbs, 40 watts or higher.
Hall's Hardware in Milton says some customers have been buying extras.
But a manager says the store will have them on the shelf until their distributor sells out.
The ban is intended to push people to fluorescent or LED bulbs.
Wade Allen/Hall's Hardware: "Folks are much better off, of course, making that investment because you can save a considerable amount of money on your energy costs."
He says newer alternative bulbs look like incandescents...
And he expects the cost of LED's to keep dropping because of increased competition and demand.
