The Activate for Kids program was created to off-set childhood obesity.
The program partners with local schools and community centers.
Ten schools in Escambia County received close to 40,000 dollars combined, for health and wellness initiatives.
Tate High School students were lucky enough to hear from NFL Cornerback Leigh Torrence.
Tate will use the money it was granted to build a fitness trail for students.
