Weather Alert

On the map below, the circle over the Gulf of Mexico is for an area of low pressure heading toward Texas.  Development is not expected.  Also, we're tracking Cristobal and a tropical wave over the Atlantic Ocean that may become another depression though chances are low.

LIVE: Okaloosa bridge closures

Well there's been so much bad that's come from this storm, but at least a little bit of fun has been had by some folks in Okaloosa County.
Rob Brown joins us now live from Okaloosa County with a look at what is going on there.

Well first a quick update on the status of some of the major bridges in the county.

The Cinco bridge was the most recent to be shutdown, after multiple accidents took place this afternoon.
The Brooks bridge remains closed due to ice, as does the Destin and Midbay bridges.
The good news is that some people here in Okaloosa County found a way to have some fun.
We spent some time at the Brooks bridge earlier today with people who were sledding...Yes, sledding down the middle of Highway 98 and one of the busiest bridges in the area.
As the weather continues to deteriorate the county says more closures are possible, and they continue to request that motorists stay off the road unless it is an absolute emergency.
