UPDATE: Winter storm closures

The flight delays have forced a lot of people to stay in Pensacola longer than they originally anticipated.
That doesn't sound fun for the travelers who are anxious to get to where ever it is they are trying to go.
But as Channel Three's Amber Southard explains, some area businesses are getting a boost.

The winter storm is causing a lot of closures along the Gulf Coast.

Most schools remain closed today and will be closed tomorrow as well.

All Public schools and Catholic schools in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa Counties will be closed on Thursday.
Public schools in Baldwin County and Escambia County Alabama are also closed tomorrow.

In addition, the University of West Florida and Pensacola State College will be closed tomorrow.
As of right now, Northwest Florida State College is closed until 4:30pm on Thursday.

According to the college website, evening classes will take place.
Any decisions to cancel evening classes will be announced by 2pm on the webpage.

All courts in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa County will be closed Thursday.

Pcola NAS, Saufley Field, Corry Station, Whiting Field, Hulburt and Eglin are closed right now.
They are all planning to reopen at noon Thursday.
        But that could change.
