Florida unemployment website Stlill not working correctly
The company that designed Florida's new unemployment website has racked up 120,000 dollars in penalties so far.
And the site still isn't working right.
The state is planning to hire more than 300 people over the next three months to review claims and answer calls.
The head of the department says their number one priority is getting claimants paid.
The site launched in October and some people are getting their money but many others are still frustrated.
Roosevelt Jackson/Applied for Benefits: "It seems like it will work out, but it's just taking a little longer than I thought it would."
Keyon Singletary/Applied for Benefits: "They can't get on, they got to call the 1-800 number, get help with it. But, I didn't have that problem."
The state is withholding a 3-million dollar payment on the system...
And they're fining the contractor 15,000 dollars a day until the site is fixed.
