ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  Jury selection is under way for the trial of a Pensacola man accused of shooting another man to death during an attempted robbery.

Bennie Robbins is charged with premeditated first-degree murder in the death of Matthew Cox.

Robbins allegedly walked up to Cox's home on Deauville Way and demanded money from him in July of 2012.

Escambia County deputies say that when Cox refused and tried to go back inside of his house, Robbins shot him several times.

The trial is expected to begin tomorrow.
