US revises plan to withdraw troops from Afghanistan

The US military is revising it's plan to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan by the end of this year.

The move comes after Afghan president Hamid Karzai refused to sign a security agreement with the US.
The Pentagon  says the number of troops in Afghanistan could drop as low as 20,000 by mid-summer but what will happen after that is unclear.
Right now, the plan is to wait until after the country's presidential election in April then work on a new security agreement.
