Winter Olympics get started

SOCHI, RUSSIA   --  Qualifying runs in men's snowboard slopestyle kicked off the Winter Olympics in Russia today.

The focus should now be on competition, but in Sochi security is still the issue.
The United States Department of Homeland Security has warned airlines flying directly to Russia to be aware explosives could be taken on planes in toothpaste containers.
A law enforcement official says the threat concern is specific to the start of the games--with opening ceremonies now just hours away.
But amid the concerns, many of the athletes say they don't feel unsafe.
"There's a lot of security and they're taking a lot of security measures to make sure we're safe up here. Our job here is to focus on what we can control and what we can do and that's how we're going to perform."

Tomorrow, the focus will be on the Fisht Olympic Stadium--as the Sochi games opening ceremony begins.
