Crestview gunman search ended

While the search for a man walking around Crestview in a ski mask with a pistol has ended, you can still expect to see a heavy police presence this morning.
There were several reports of people throughout the city seeing the man yesterday.
The man was even allegedly spotted near the childcare network on Redstone Avenue and Brooksmead Drive.
One officer actually saw a man matching the descriptions, but couldn't catch him.
Crestview police and Okaloosa deputies brought in canines and locked down nearby businesses, schools, and daycare centers.
Mitzi Olafsen said, "We saw some cops that had lights and sirens going, they were coming up behind us. We happened to look over, we saw an officer talking to a lady in the child care network. Saw several other cops come flying by, pulled out onto redstone..."

Several officers stayed in the neighborhood throughout the night and possibly into the morning as a precaution.
Crestview police say they do have one person of interest in the case.
If you saw this man yesterday or have any information about this case, you're asked to call the Crestview Police Department.
