Gap Inc to pay employees above minimum

A popular "clothing retailer" plans to start paying its workers more.
Gap Incorporated says it is going to start paying workers at least nine dollars an hour this June.

Then in June of 2015, Gap plans to pay workers a minimum of 10 dollars an hour.

President Obama, who is pushing to raise the nation's minimum wage, has praised the company. The current minimum wage is seven-dollars and 25 cents an hour.

Gap Incorporated operates Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta Stores.
