Meth lab house fire in Volusia County

Two people in Volusia County are facing charges after a meth lab caught fire in their home while a child was in the house alone.

Firefighters were called to the house Friday afternoon after a neighbor called 911.
When crews arrived, a 9 year old girl came out of house and said she was there by herself.
Investigators later found meth-making chemicals in the house, chemicals they say could have killed the girl.

Bill Snyder, Volusia County fire said, "If she would have breathed the fumes from an active meth lab it could've hurt her pretty badly."

Melissa Berry and Jonathan Coburn showed up at the house while crews were working to put out the fire.
They are now charged with child neglect, manufacturing meth, arson and cultivation of cannabis.
