Kipling Manor trial heads in to second day
ESCAMBIA COUNTY -- Kipling Manor faced it's second day on trial today.
This time Kipling Manor's Assistant Manager took the stand.
Elizabeth Dunn worked at Kipling Manor for about a year before she resigned last week.
She says she always had concerns about the cleanliness of the facility and the patients' rights.
Dunn testified some of Kipling Manor's staff members were told to falsify patients' medical records causing some of them to miss their prescribed medications.
She also says the owner, Belie Williams was abusive towards the patients.
Elizabeth Dunn - Former Kipling Administrator
"He would be yelling forceful, at times pointing at them in their face and he has cussed at them before"
If the agency leading the case against Kipling proves the alleged violations are true -- and residents health and safety were at risk -- the facility may lose its operating license.
We will continue to keep you updated on the details of the trial.
