Weather Alert

On the map below, the circle over the Gulf of Mexico is for an area of low pressure heading toward Texas.  Development is not expected.  Also, we're tracking Cristobal and a tropical wave over the eastern Caribbean Sea that may become another depression though chances are low.

Gulf Breeze encourages active lifestyle with new sidewalks

GULF BREEZE  --  The city of Gulf Breeze has recently installed two sidewalks and there is hope the pathways will inspire those in the community to become more physically active.

Channel 3's Kalie Desimone joins us live this morning with more on the project called 'Heal Gulf Breeze'.

The city has installed two sidewalks over the last year. They are perfect for both walking and jogging. One sidewalk begins at City Hall and heads southwest to Shoreline Park South. The other sidewalk starts on south sunset at the north end of Shoreline Park and ends at the library. The city of Gulf Breeze says this spring they will focus on adding other new programs to the Heal Gulf Breeze program.

"We have the greatest management in this city. They take care of their people," said resident Robert Landfair.
The main goal of this project is to help residents lower obesity, diabetes and heart disease rates.
