Counterfeit beauty products

Fake products that look like well known brands have been sold in Florida and other states.
Now police have seized millions of dollars worth of those fake products, like Vicks Vaporub, and Johnson's baby oil.

Some of the bogus products could pose a health risk.
Kathleen Rice, from Nassau Da, said "These products have been found to turn up in retail locations in NY, PA, and Fl."

Prosecutor say two brothers from Long island, Pardeep Malik and Hamant Mullick, are behind it all.

Investigators say they had several manufacturing facilities like here in Freeport and had a showroom for their products in this building in Valley Stream.
"One of the things we found was formula for lip balm so these contained the ingredients."

The ingredients, according to prosecutors, were stored in unsanitary jugs and steel drums.
Investigators also seized this flyer which they say the men would use to sell their products at trade shows.

Rice said, "It's not yet known whether there is a health risk associated with the counterfeit products but the seized products at this very time are being tested by labs to determine their safety and quality."

The suspects families were in court, March 8th, but didn't want to speak with us.
Their attorneys did however.

Michael Brown, an Attorney, said "He's maintaining his innocence on this."

Steve Christiansen, an Attorney, said "There is in essence an attempt to clump him in with activities he had nothing to do with."
