Shorebird nests

If a bird starts to dive-bomb you at the beach you may be too close to its nest.

Florida Fish and Wildlife is reminding beach-goers that many birds nest in the sand.

Whether you're walking or driving, you're urged to go slow and watch for eggs and chicks.

Some nesting areas will have signs up but many do not.
