Barge collision in Texas caused oil leak

In Texas, crews have been working throughout the night to clean up oil from a barge collision.

The barge was carrying 924 thousand gallon of thick tarry fuel oil when it collided in the Galveston Bay.

It happened around 12:30 yesterday, the barge was being towed from Texas City to Bolivar at the time.

A sheen of oil was being reported on the water, but it was unknown how much
Oil had leaked.

The six crew members on board are in stable condition.
Now clean up crews are rushing to get it cleaned up, to try and protect the bird population.
