Tampa woman introduces legislation to protect fetus

A Tampa woman who was unknowingly given a pill that caused a miscarriage is now working to protect others.

Remee Lee was six weeks pregnant when she was tricked into taking what she though was an antibiotic.
Today, she appeared before the House Judiciary Committee where she broke down in tears testifying on legislation that would make it a crime to kill a fetus.
Current law only protects what is considered a viable fetus.
"I see people buying baby stuff and just wish that was me but maybe I can help make a difference for someone else."

The legislation is expected to be debated by the Full House sometime in the next two weeks.
