Military budget cuts could effect number of Florida National Guards

The Florida National Guard is worried that proposed cuts to the military's budget will further cut its already low enlistment.

Florida's guard ranks last in the nation for the ratio of troops to civilians. Despite the state's high risk of hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters.
A new report shows there are only 10.3 guardsmen for every 100 thousand civilians.
If the Pentagon's proposed cuts go in effect, that number could decrease by another 10 percent.
