Drought causes increased food prices

Food prices are going up.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, food prices rose .4 percent last month. That's the largest increase since September 2011.

Prices for meats, poultry, fish, and eggs are up 4 percent over the past year.

Economists say meats and beef prices in particular have been rising because of drought.
