Walmart money card hacked

A Pensacola woman says she lost nearly every dollar she had when her debit card was hacked.

Christy Dore had more than seventeen-hundred dollars loaded onto a prepaid Walmart money card.

After it was declined, she discovered multiple fraudulent ATM withdrawals and purchases.
And she's not the only victim.

Pages of comments at sites including consumeraffairs.com show many who've had money taken.

Many say it happened after updating their security profile on the money-card website.
"I had changed my password and my pin number of my card, because I was worried about the Christmas problem. The next day, my money was gone, after I went on the website."

The company who issued her card, Green Dot Corporation, is investigating, but say, all charges needed to clear before they can be disputed and refunded.
    That could take several weeks.
