YOUR THREE CENTS: Do you support the President's plan to expand overtime pay?

President Barack Obama plans to announce changes to the federal overtime laws on Thursday.

The President will order the Labor Department to expand overtime pay requirements to include millions more workers who are now classified as "executive or professional" employees.

The order would require changes to the 1938 Fair Labor Standards Act.
Right now,  that law prohibits businesses from denying overtime to a salaried worker making less than $455 per week.

The change the President is proposing would increase that salary threshold, but it's not clear by how much.

White House officials say the  changes would make sure hard workers are paid fairly.
