Boston Marathon one year anniversary
(ABC) BOSTON -- Today marks the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings.
It is a day of tributes to the three people who died, the more than 260 people who were hurt.
Marci Gonzalez is in Boston with more.
It is the place representing the loss "I miss her every day every day"
The recovery -
"My legs died last April 15 I'm grieving them. Going to take years. But I don't want to be a victim of that."
And the resilience - of this city..
I think Boston has kind of regrouped because of the strength of the survivors and the families who lost loved ones.
One year to the day after two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon -
A tribute - underway now to the three lives - lost in the bombings-
" A parent should never have to bury their child,
To the more than 260 people who were hurt -
And to the heroes -
"We're gonna remember the casualties of course and their families-- but we're going to support the survivors as well"
Vice President Joe Biden - joined by survivors -families - first responders- to share stories, and - pause - for reflection.
In just days from now - runners will again cross this finish line- some - wearing prosthetics-
"It'll be invigorating" - or something like this
Others - carrying the memory - of all that was lost - one year ago
Lu Lingzi pkg - If we get it "we really want to take back this finish line from the bombers"
"And we're taking back that street, and we're taking back that finish line.
And following today's tribute happening at the Convention Center here in Boston- there will be a flag raising ceremony - just down the block at the finish line - and a moment of silence.
So much to reflect upon here today.
