HEALTH: New rules go into effect for 'Abortion Pill' in Arizona
ARIZONA -- New rules for the drug known as the "Abortion Pill" went into effect in Arizona today.
A new guideline for RU-486 was created under a state bill in 2012.
Doctors used to be able to prescribe the pill for women through the 9th week of pregnancy.
Under the new stricter guidelines, it can only be prescribed through the *7th week of pregnancy.
Last week, a federal judge denied planned parenthood's request for an injunction on the change.
