HEALTH: Obesity could put pregnant women at greater risk of delivering stillborn baby

Being obese or overweight could put pregnant women at greater risk of having a stillborn baby.

Scientists say a new study shows that even a modest increase in an obese pregnant woman's weight is linked to an increased risk of fetal death, stillbirth and infant death.
The highest risk was in women considered severely obese.
But even women who are considered overweight were found to experience increased complications.
They advise women who plan to have children to be as close to their ideal weight as possible.
