General Motors begins repairs on recalled vehicles

General Motors is working to repair the millions of vehicles at the center of a controversial recall.

Owners of 6 GM models can bring their vehicles to a dealer to fix the ignition switch starting today.
   
Models from the years 2003 through 2007 will get repaired first.
The models include the Chevy Cobalt, the HHR, the Pontiac G-5 and Solstice and the Saturn Ion and Sky.
   
Other models will be added at a later date.
The company has faced major back lash due to faulty ignition switches.

The defect is tied to at least 13 deaths.
