BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

GM faces new allegations

General Motors is now being accused of hiding a deadly ignition defect - while it accepted the government bailout!

In court documents filed late yesterday lawyers accuse GM of concealing details about the defect back in 2009, while taxpayers were bailing out the company.
   
Lawyers are asking for court approval to bring class action lawsuits against the automaker
GM, meantime, filed papers Monday seeking to protect itself from lawsuits related to the ignition switch recall.
   
At least 13 people have died because of the ignition problem.
