South Korea's Prime minister resigns over deadly ferry accident

South Korea's Prime Minister announced he would resign immediately over this month's ferry disaster.

In a televised statement, the Prime Minister said he should take responsibility for everything.

He said during the search process, the Government took inadequate measures and disappointed the public.
The ferry sank on April 16.

Fifteen people involved in navigating the vessel, including the captain, are now in custody.
All are being accused of negligence and of failing to help passengers in need

So far, 187 people have been confirmed dead and 115 are still missing.
