Library dedicated to child killed by violence

An outdoor book lending site was dedicated today, in memory of a child killed by violence.
The library is dedicated to Ty'Quarius Moultrie.

The one year old was shot and killed in Pensacola Village back in 2011.

A "little free library" unit built in his name, was unveiled at adoration for a new beginning church on Government street.
His family wants to promote education in the community.

They feel making books available will encourage more young people to read, rather than get caught up in violence.
Toni Washington, Ty'Quarius' Grandmother, said "I appreciate adoration for a new beginning for starting this up in his name and I pray that every child in this community and this neighborhood comes and get a book."

Little free libraries are part of an international movement to get more people reading.
The boxes may be inside or outside, filled with books that you take and return at your convenience.
