Joshua Douglas murder trial gets underway

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  The trial for a man accused of raping and killing a Pensacola woman is underway in Escambia County.
Joshua Douglas is charged with the murder and sexual assault of Jamie Broxson.
Broxson and another woman were found dead in November 2010 near a Gulf Power Substation on Jernigan Road in Escambia County.
Douglas is charged in Broxson's death, but investigators couldn't connect him to the other victim.
Douglas could be given the death penalty, or life in prison without parole if he is convicted.
The trial is expected to go through the end of the week.
