Thousands of honey bees removed from Sacred Heart Hospital

Thousands of honey bees had to be removed from underneath the roof of a building at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Someone spotted the swarm earlier this week.
Instead of calling in Pest Control they called in a local licensed beekeeper.

The beekeeper gently extracted the bees using a safe vacuuming technique and relocated them.

The swarm weighed in at four pounds or about 13,000 bees.
