HEALTH: Kids and screen time

Children of all ages are fascinated by gadgets.
But pediatricians say, there's good reason to limit your kids' device time.

From smartphones to big screen TV's put children in the room with it and chances are their heads will turn.

Researchers looked at the tech habits of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders over just seven months.

They found that when parents set limits on screen time, their kids' physical and mental health improved.

It affected everything from their body mass index to their grades.
The improvements were small but measurable, suggesting even tiny tweaks to a child's screen time can have an influence.
