Posting photos online saved little girl's eyesight

A lot of parents share pictures online, and in one case, it may have helped save a child's eyesight.

Mom Tara Taylor had no idea her daughter Rylee was having vision problems.
Until she posted Rylee's photo on Facebook.

Several of her friends noticed a green glow in Rylee's left eye and suggested she see a Doctor.
It turns out Rylee has a rare condition called 'coats disease.'

Her Doctor says, the earlier they can treat a child with the condition, the better.
But sometimes parents don't realize the problem until it's too late.

Dr. Jorge Calzada said, "A child doesn't go to mom and say, 'mommy I can't see out of my right eye. It's usually caught in different ways when the parents least expect it."
"She didn't sit close to the tv. She's actually in gymnastics,  she can walk on the balance beam. No indications there were any visual problems with her left eye," said Taylor.

Rylee now has procedures done every couple of months, to help her maintain the vision she still has in her left eye.
