White Supremacist opens fire on two Jewish centers in Kansas killing three

OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS   --  A shotgun-wielding man opened fire at two Jewish centers in Overland Park, Kansas killing three people Sunday.

Police arrested 73-year-old Frazier Glenn Cross for the murders and are investigating the act as a hate crime.

ABC's Michelle Franzen has more on the investigation.
Police are investigating a possible hate crime following a pair of deadly shootings in Overland Park, Kansas Sunday that killed three people.

The suspect  73 year old Frazier Glenn Cross who goes by the name Glenn Miller, surrendered to police.
After his arrest, he yelled Nazi slogans from a patrol car.

"Heil, Hitler!!"
The first deadly rampage took place in the parking lot of a Jewish Community Center, as children and parents gathered inside for a singing contest.

"It was really scary. I mean people are calling their loved ones."
Police say 14-year old Reat Underwood and his grandfather, Dr. William Lewis Corporon, were gunned down in their car.

"I'm on the scene with the victim."
But it didn't stop there. Police say the gunman went to a Jewish Assisted Living Center about a mile away and opened fire -- killing a third female victim.

He allegedly shot at two others and missed.
"It's too early in an investigation to try to label it, we know it's a vicious act of violence."

The Southern Poverty Law Center says Miller is a known white supremacist
"We have been tracking Miller, literally for decades..."

"He is literally one of the most hardcore anti-semites I have ever spoken to."
In 2010 he launched a senate bid-- making this radio campaign ad

"We've sat back and allowed the Jews to take over our government, our banks, and our media."

This morning President Obama condemned the shootings that occurred on the eve of Passover and offered condolences at the White House Easter Prayer Breakfast.

"A gunman opened fire innocent people were killed. Families were devastated and this violence has struck at the heart of the Jewish Community in Kansas City."

Cross, a former grand dragon of the KKK, is set to be formally charged today.
