BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Scratch off theives arrested

Two people have been arrested for stealing thousands of dollars worth of scratch off lottery tickets.

The Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office says Kristeena Bare and Frank Johnson broke a window at the Berrydale Quick Mart.

And took 3300 dollars worth of scratch-off tickets.
A few hours later, deputies say, Bare and Johnson cashed in two of the stolen tickets at a different store.
  
They're charged with property damage, burglary, larceny, and dealing in stolen property.
