Florida insurance companies accused of discrimination

Four Florida insurance companies are under fire for allegedly  discriminating against people with HIV and AIDS.

The National Health Law Program and the AIDS Institute filed the complaint Thursday.

They say CoventryOne, Cigna, Humana and Preferred Medical are violating the Affordable Care Act by structuring their drug policies in a way that discourages consumers with HIV and AIDS from choosing their plans.

The complaint asks federal officials to investigate.
