National Aviation Symposium

NASP  --  Young pilots in training are meeting people who made military flying their career this week.
The Naval Aviation Symposium is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Naval Flight Training and the 40th year of women in Naval Aviation.
Guest speaker Robert Gibson trained at NAS Pensacola and later became one of the first space shuttle pilots.
He served as mission commander on four flights.
Captain Robert "Hoot" Gibson/Former Astronaut:  "It's really fun getting to be the mission commander 'cause you get, you get to be the boss, you get to be the one that sets the tone for the crew and my tone was always, 'if we're not having fun, there's something that we're doing wrong."

The symposium wraps up tomorrow morning with a look at the future of Naval Aviation.
