One of the oldest churches in Pensacola damaged during storm

One of the oldest churches in Pensacola was severely damaged during the storm.

The walls of the Allen Chapel AME Church are now being gutted after flood waters rushed in Tuesday night.

The pastor of the church and his members believe their faith is getting them through this difficult time.

Bernard Jenkins, "We never thought we would have this kind of devastation but it is good to know people can come together in time of need."

Church is planning another clean up day tomorrow morning, May 5th, around 9 and another at 1pm.

The church is also asking for cleaning items and for help removing damaged sheet rock.
