Sheriff Morgan claims Pensacola Energy "was not" at jail building when work was being done on gas lines

Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan is claiming Pensacola Energy crews were *not at the Sheriff's Administration Building Thursday when work was being done on the building's gas lines.
The county released a statement saying Pensacola Energy and mechanical contractor crews were working to re-establish natural gas service to the water boilers and dehumidifiers.
Morgan also says the sheriff's office was not notified prior to the work being done.
The building was evacuated around 7:45 Thursday night when employees complained of smelling gas.
About an hour later, crews from Pensacola Energy and the fire department determined the building was safe.
Sheriff Morgan says the Pensacola Energy crew did not arrive until about 15 minutes after the fire department located workers on the roof.
